Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management

Health Information Management (HIM) stands at the critical intersection of medicine, business management, and information technology. Bachelor's Degree Center ranked Pitt HIM as the 5th best program in the U.S., and the HIM BadgeHealthcare Management Degree Guide recently named Pitt HIM as 7th in the nation because it provides students with high-quality education and includes the most extensive internship requirements (four full semesters) of any other program.

Pitt HIM also offers hands-on training, personal mentorship, small class sizes, access to renowned faculty and eligibility to sit for the Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) exam that qualifies you as a Health Information Management expert to all future employers. The RHIA is increasingly in demand and valued in both patient and non-patient care settings such as hospitals, long-term care, insurance companies, government agencies and more. The RHIA certification is one of the Top 5 Health IT certifications worth having!
